If you need your art fix for the first couple weeks of April (and I
know I do!), here are some shows that you won't want to miss:
The 1st Wednesday Art Walk in Wallingford. This art walk only happens once every other month, so you won't want to miss it (especially since your somewhat humble narrator is showing some of her work at Lucky 7 Salon). Also featured this artwalk are the photographs of David Weiner @ Blue Star Cafe & Pub, Linda White's collages @ Chocolati Cafe, the fashion stylings of Rosanne Gialanella @ the Assistance League Thrift Shop, and many, many more!
The 1st Thursday Art Walk in Pioneer Square, Thursday, 5 April from 5-9pm. There's a dual show at the OK Hotel featuring "Shadows, Persona and Trickery," oil paintings and a new line of skateboards by Chris Sheridan in conjunction with a brand new series of street art-inspired paintings by John Osgood. Stop by for drinks, discussion, and a darn good time!
The 1st Friday Art Walk in Fremont, Friday, 6 April from 6-9pm. This month, Fremont features the art of Kate Protage
@ Adobe Systems Inc (a brand new art walk venue!), The Oatmeal's Matthew Inman @ Portage Bay Goods, Jan Tervonen @ Fremont Jewelry, and many, many more!
The 2nd Thursday Art Walk in Capitol Hill, Thursday, 12 April from 5-8pm. Bauhaus, CakeSpy, Ghost Gallery, Cupcake Royale, Gamma Ray Games, True Love Gallery, and over 20 other art spaces are featuring new and exciting work this month!
The 2nd Thursday Art Walk in West Seattle, Thursday, 12 April from 6-9pm. Check out new work at Twilight Arist Collective, The Heartland Cafe, Hotwire Coffee, Shoofly Pie, and more!
The 2nd Friday Art Walk in the Greenwood-Phinney neighbourhood, Friday, 13 April from 6-9pm. In case you missed it the first time around, you have one last chance to see Bherd Studios' 5-year anniversary show "Look Up Here." The encore opening includes an artist reception, artist signings, and a brand new art book! Echo Echo is hosting "Awakening," a group show featuring art inspired by dreams, nightmares, and concepts of consciousness, spirituality, science, and other permutations of the notion of 'awake'.
Tasty is featuring "The Return of Heroes, Vixens, and Villains", a comic art show with the talents of Siolo Thompson, Glitter Mortis, Carlos Aguilar, and more!
Support your local art scene! Cheers.
